The 2023 Junior Speed Chess Championship is about to kick off. Eight talented young players, including names like GMs Gukesh D, Denis Lazavik, and Christopher Yoo, will seek to claim victory.

How to Play

Clicking the button above will take you to a prediction bracket for the 2023 JSCC. You’ll find the names of all of the players along with their match-ups. Predict who you think is going to win, all the way to the final. The more answers you get correct, the more points you get, so choose your answers carefully.

Please make sure you submit your Chess.com username as part of your prediction. This means that we can find you if you win and make sure you get your prize.

The deadline for submitting your predictions is Tuesday, June 13 at 5:30 a.m. PT / 2:30 p.m. CEST. Predictions will be locked after this, so don’t miss your chance!

Prizes

  • The overall winner will receive six months of premium Chess.com membership.
  • The second and third-place finishers will receive three months of Chess.com membership each.

Procedures for Contacting and Announcing Winners and Giving Out Prizes

We will be in touch with winners through Messages on Chess.com or via the e-mail provided in their submission.

Contact will be made within one calendar week after the contest ends.

If prizes are given out continuously throughout an event, contact will be made one week after the event ends.

In contests where winners are picked randomly from chats on Twitch, YouTube, and Chess.com, everyone who gave the correct answer will be raffled using software that will ensure an impartial and random selection of winners.

By participating in the event, you are consenting to Chess.com using your name/image for purpose of administration, prize fulfillment, use in a publicly available winners list, and related Chess.com event promotion.
