With three players—GM Vidit Gujrathi, GM Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, and GM Richard Rapport—tied for first place entering the round, will someone join them, or will one of them pull away from the pack? Among the three leaders in the Masters, Rapport draws the toughest assignment, playing Black against world champion GM Magnus Carlsen. On the Challengers side, GM Arjun Erigaisi looks to continue a hot start (4.5/5) against another round-five winner, GM Surya Shekhar Ganguly.
