Announcing Recommended Matches – Chess.com

[ad_1]

Chess.com is happy to announce the release of Recommended Matches. For the first time ever, you will be presented with personalized pairings for Daily Games on your home screen.

So how does it work?

If you’ve finished playing all of your Daily Games, we will generate a recommendation for who your next opponent should be! We take into account your friends, past opponents, rating, activity level, past games, and many other things to try and match you with the right opponent.

You’ll be shown your recommended opponent’s username, rating, head-to-head results, and the reason we’re suggesting you start a game with them. Recommended matches have a time control of seven days per move.

Don’t think the pairing is right for you? Decline it and our system will take some time thinking for a bit before giving you another recommendation. It’s important to us that you’re shown fun, timely recommendations and hope this promotes a better experience for you in finding games.

Are recommended matches not for you? You can disable them by unchecking the “daily” section in your custom home page settings.

As always, we look forward to hearing your feedback and suggestions in the comment section below. Let us know how your first recommended match went!
